People read the NEGATIVE FEEDBACK please--even though she's sold a lot of stuff you could be the one she rips off next!! Read the feedback, adjectives used such as sloppy, cheap,low quality...phrases like "not worth the money", one buyer said she had intended the purchase as a gift but couldn't possibly give it as one it was such low quality, etc. There is no excuse for those kind of negs, none, sellers should make each and every one of their customers happy or give their money back!!http://www.etsy.com/people/poetsummer/feedback
Very little this woman says about herself is true either. She isn't too sick to write on her blog, or send countless emails and convos that have been recorded by harrassed competitors, or make comments on several other blogs while her customers go without their items and petition Paypal to get it back.
Etsy has let Poetsummer stay open in total disregard of hassled buyers and this has been going on for months.It is ludicrous that competitors recall Poetsummer slamming certain sellers for "using their handicaps, illnesses, situations" to get sympathy sells....while she now exploits cancer as an excuse for her shortcomings. Whether Poetsummer is truly ill is no longer the issue. Her business practices are unethical and felonious. If we are gracious enough to give Poetsummer the benefit of the doubt as to her illness it still remains the shop should've been closed. These buyers are innocents-- wrongly inconvenienced by someone they don't know and have no reason to trust. Many of these buyers have petitioned PayPal to get their money returned.... will PayPal petition Poetsummer to recover its losses...some of which are rather large amounts? One report over $246.
Poetsummer has numerous sock puppet accounts, one of which is catsarehuman that she uses to post in Etsy forums and other places--read the posts, anyone who doubts this particular account belongs to her is a fool. The Etsy problem is probably only the tip of the iceberg as this seller advertises and more than likely sells on numerous sites across the internet.
She doesn't answer the phone number on her Etsy page, but has given several of my angry sources another phone number and tried to goad them into calling her to argue. 708 769 **** Indeed, she has time dissatisfied buyers... just not for you.

Etsy goes on and on about "calling out members"--- what about sellers who "call out" dissatisfied buyers...by slandering, abusing, harrassing and using their power of negative feedback to terrorize said buyers who are only stating their opinions, complaining about items undelivered or money taken? Poetsummer has been read to say that CourtneyLove cherry********** left glowing feedback, more embellishent of the truth--when in fact she left only positive green marks-- no comments whatsoever. $8000 worth? not even in Poetsummer's wildest dreams. Courtney would never spend that much on stuff she's going to throw off the stage as momentos of her performance to fans. Wonderful blog comments...where? she does mention a name that is similar but oddly enough didn't take the time to spell it right. *giggles so one is left to wonder: is it her or not? If there was a link I missed it for it's lack of prominence. Poetsummer in an attempt to use a Celeb for her own advantage didn't quite capture this one, I saw no further purchases since that date in 2008. A lasting impression? I guess not. I know many leave comments and even good or neutral feedback for fear of retaliation in their own feedback, that situation needs to be changed so that buyers feel comfortable with telling the truth about their purchase

If you knew ANYTHING about my life you'd know I have been married for a year now and that we live here in my home and in his home part of the time because he travels for his job. He's a retired colonel and working in private DOD work so he's often on a plane. My son lives here with me when hes not in school. He's not off having children out of wedlock and asking other people to take care of them. He's off doing his thing. I not only own my home I own one in a town called Wilmington Illinois on the river. I don't even get why all this matters to you. The police told me when they were at your home it was a hovel, in complete disrepair and run down. Why aren't you working to make the repairs there?

All reports given from customers and former associates say--that there has never been one verifiable image of her. Do your own image search if you know her real name as most of us do.Or, type in Poetsummer and all you get is jewelry pictures.
She constantly accuses others of being fat, and of self loathing..when this description seems to fit her. Most say she is a large woman {some noticed her hands in some jewelry model photos and further proof was seen in the very large clothing she had placed for sale on an alternate account she had originally denied was one of hers--then she slipped up and said they were the clothes of a relative...*how funny is that?
This woman has been openly hostile and vindictive to so many buyers and sellers ...has infringed on so many artists that searches are being done for information about her and her nefarious habits. In fact, the aforementioned account was found during one such search by several looking for copyright infringed items. She had opened the account while her Poetsummer account was suspended on Ebay. It was easily found because although she used a different photography style for her bracelet items she had absent mindedly signed one item description "Carrie".
One cannot know what is the truth about this woman as she lies with every breath taken . She has never mentioned a new husband on her blog or anywhere before this etsy convo. If you've ever read any of her fantastic meanderings you would know that she isn't married and would've shouted it to the high heavens if indeed she had roped a husband. So, this slip up that was designed to impress one with her wonderful life lands in a pile of falsehoods with all of the others. Now that her blessed imaginary event is published here, one will have to wonder if a new post on her blog will reveal details of this mysterious flying Colonel *giggles or if he'll just fly around in her head. Another casual search of the address she puts on her envelopes yields a rental property owned by someone else that is currently for sale. Those of you who have an address from a package do your own search.
If there is a bestfriend, she is mute, and we never hear so much as a whisper from any son..
Poetsummer is extremely jealous, and competitive, -- with some kind of egomanical, paranoid, pathological thought process thing going on--she says she's the "premiere" altered artist on Ebay for instance. I'm not sure what that means really as there is a world of people published and unpublished that indulged in it long before she took up the craft. Granted she does seem to have a lot of creative energy but she is sloppy and greedy and doesn't have enough imagination or talent to produce images for her own projects. I'd love to hear from ANYONE, ANYONE AT ALL, WHO HAS EVIDENCE TO THE CONTRARY AND DISAGREES WITH THE ARGUMENTS PUT FORTH HERE.. YOUR COMMENT WILL BE PUBLISHED. ANYONE? .

Etsy is a hotbed of copyright infringement and there is no way on earth they aren't aware of it. From personal experiences related in this group alone [Only the Truth} it can be said that the communciation and lengthy documentation process of Etsy is so frustrating that it is next to impossible to get our infringed art off the Etsy Website. Copyright infringement is wrong in all of it's forms, however, we are not focused on nickel and dime sellers and crafters but on the large sellers such as this one who know the law and defy it. It is our hope posts such as this one draw attention to our cause. If you have images of other sellers who blatantly ignore copyright information send it to us and we will entertain using it as well, especially if you are an infringed artist. {on this website poetsummer accuses some one of stealing...say it ain't so..*giggles...is that the pot calling the kettle black?... when Poetsummer infringes on intellectual property rights with almost every project she does. Poetsummer quote: " I mean get fucking real. You are going to talk down to me when your psycho ass is stealing online just to feed your fat ass? And Faking..."

the next story is cut and pasted from an actual Etsy profile. This poor buyer left a message on her page and left Etsy apparently. The account will probably be banned if Etsy sees it because it violates their policy [but it's been up a while as you can see]. Her story is one I've heard so many times. The item in question was purchased on December 5, 2008 and Poetsummer left awful feedback for this woman on an item that was paid for, just not quickly enough for her. The item was only a pendant and surely a small amount -- did Poetsummer need money that badly?
Poetsummer says:
Ever get one of those customers that you wait and wait and wait for payment and then they give YOU attitude about it? I'm not paypal and no matter what you do this one will give you grief. Beware.

First time Etsy user and have never been treated with so much contempt on ANY site before, until I made the mistake of buying from "poetsummer". I have been accused of taking ages to pay when in fact I have PROOF that I paid within a couple of days. BE WARNED, "poetsummer" is arrogant and will leave nasty feedback even though he/she is totally in the wrong!
Funny, now "poetsummer" has sent ME a "kiss and make up request" - that is an admission of guilt to me. But I will NOT be making up with her because that means that I have to change my neutral feedback to positive, something she clearly doesn't deserve.
I have also been contacted by two other Etsy users since this incident who have had negative experiences with "poetsummer", and one of them wasn't even a customer!!
WATCH OUT with this seller, she is an abusive bully and a liar!
To other sellers, keep an eye out for poetsummers designs because she likes to trawl your shop to steal your designs. Don't say I didn't warn you :-)

Here's some bizarre feedback left by etsy buyer Nighteyes00. this is very interesting and very telling of how Poetsummer works. She doesn't send your item then accuses you of being a scam artist when you complain. And, the delivery confirmation thing--- I've heard something similar before. First, she would give out phony numbers then when checked by the buyer and found to be wrong she'd say she must have made a typo. Second she'd send an email and say she'd send the number if requested...when she could just send it from the beginning. Oh dear.

Only the Truth: I very much doubt Nighteyes00 is an international jewelry thief and we only have the questionable word of Poetsummer to indicate anything at all is amiss, and yet she slanders this buyer in the feedback.
Etsy's feedback policy needs to be changed. One only has to do a casual search of Etsy complaints to see there are many problems with the system. Poetsummer still has 98% feedback. That is too high and does not reflect to future buyers the danger of being ripped off. Poetsummer says 50 people is no matter when she has sold thousands. Uh, maybe those losers who are waiting on their items or refunds would disagree. That's crazy, 20 or 50 or 5 or 10 is too many dissatisfied and extremely upset people who should matter to her no matter how many sells she has. Doesn't she have her priorities a bit askew? She kept opening the store---long enough for a few innocents to get trapped--then she'd close it again, this happened several times. Anyone who knows how Etsy works, knows she could've and should've put the shop on vacation until such time she could stick with it...although the big question still remains...why was she well enough to do everything else she was doing?
When people noticed she was still blogging she had the audacity to say she had let a relative post some old stuff...my lord, the fabrications never end. Again, let's give the benefit of the doubt and consider this same relative could've taken a few packages to the post? But, wait now she's posting recipes and poetry as herself...give it a rest Poetsummer, surely the truth would be easier. One source related that Poetsummer claimed a sister, "Mary", was helping her...wonder where she went? Perhaps back to the local convent, if she ever existed at all because the situation only got worse while Poetsummer played musical store. One day items on, the next day gone. My personal favorite is that when the negatives started rolling in for the trash she hurriedly gave some, she had to have a good excuse..except she's not played this well at all. One source reported before the cancer story she was saying she'd had a car wreck ...again, who knows what the truth is?
Scariest of all, if you've purchased from this woman, you have put yourself and your identity at risk if you cross her.If you are buyer she has enough personal information to give you grief and she will according to many sources. Countless customers have been victims of nasty feedback for instance simply because they had the courage to speak the truth about her work.She doesn't stop at you either, she will attack your spouses, even your children.
If you are an Etsy customer it would be wise to make some inquiries before you buy from her, especially write those people who left the negs. Etsy has so many complaints about this seller on their desks that they can't make room for a cup of coffee ...and yet they ignore all. A few interesting links below to copy and paste, her language is rather shockingly obscene for someone who is supposed to create beauty, in fact it's quite puzzling. She uses gutter language to describe other women and it's just plain weird to speak so horribly about one's own gender.

I love finding an informative new blog about Carrie the THIEF. And today I see her shop is closed down! I have watched her feedback and her purchases (Carrie49 is one of her personal sockpuppet accounts on Etsy) for nearly a year now. It was like watching my favorite soap opera everyday: the scandal, the deception and now hopefully the demise of this horrid woman. I wrote Etsy admin numerous times since last fall asking why they allowed to let this potty mouth wench continue relist daily her trashy glued trinkets. $40 per DAY, EVERYDAY was spent on relisting items to always have them at the top of the searchs. All in all it turned into a scam... deceit and theft of thousands of dollars from her customers. I wondered why she charged $7 and up for shipping when actually, it cost no more than $3 with tracking/confirmation.
Paper, glue, base metal components and dollar store glass beads.
KARMA Carrie, Karma.
Oh, and Courtney Love bought from my Etsy shop, also. I guess that well has dried up too.

It gives me great joy to see Poetsummer/Summerpoet finally be put in her place. She tried for 5 years to destroy my business. I had to change my business name, get a new phone number, and a new P.O box in order to protect my business and my customers.

I don't think she realizes how many people hate her, and how many are now willing to come forward now if need be. So many people have contacted me it's not even funny. One person said she had to change her phone number 4 times because she and her friends kept calling, and once a 6 year old girl answered the phone only to allegedly be called a "nasty little cunt".
What kind of person would do something like that?
We too have heard this same type story from several different sources. Even if Poetsummer had a legitimate case against one person...that person's family should be off limits. This woman knows no limits and has no boundaries. The adidas blog link above is a great example of the filthy language used by Poetsummer/Summerpoet.
Good, honest, nice, sellers of altered art jewelry that have gone thru hell over this witch are probably tooting horns, tossing confetti, and dancing giddily about now.

I'd love to post under my real name, but unfortunately I know first hand what it's like to deal with the rats that thrive in Etsy's sewers - they grow fat, bold and vicious.
We can't comment on Poetsummer/Summerpoet's oral habits other than her potty mouth...especially since her account has disappeared mysteriously. Kicked to the curb by Etsy? We hope...she was giving them a bad reputation. And....yes PussDaddy, there are those of us celebrating the bliss of her absence ...and hoping it lasts.

Readers, some of the anonymous contributors have actually identified themselves to us...with the promise we do not reveal their identities for fear of retaliation.We will continue to publish anonymous comments for this reason and perhaps will learn facts from one of them that hasn't been heard before. I invite anyone to publish a comment with a story for us. We don't know who this last contributor is...but to answer her/him...we have no idea why Etsy allowed her shop to re-open.It's a slap in the face for anyone who has complained to them and we know there have been quite a few. Our goal is to educate in the hope of ridding the internet of this abusive seller, Poetsummer Summerpoet. She is adept at advertising and seen widely over the internet. Don't let that fool you.
She is closed again. It doesn't matter much though as she'll just be back in 5 minutes as someone else with a new name and new shop peddling her cheap, overpriced crap jewelry again.
There are many many fine altered art jewelry artists, so take your time, shop around ladies... check feedback very closely. Just because someone is well advertised doesn't mean they're the best--it just means they're adept at getting their product noticed. Consider comparison shopping and buying from several different artists too, you need something to compare this type of art with. Quality varies greatly.

She was also booted off Ebay for a while for copyright infringement about 4 years ago. I just dealt with her once and that was enough for me. I don't know what it was exactly but she gave me the creeps. I purchased one lot of her photo charms. Very disappointing ~ sloppy, shoddy workmanship. When I emailed her about it, she became defensive and combative. No doubt, she is one very scary person.
